BIRGUNJ, Aug 19: Birgunj Customs Office collected Rs 18.3967 billion in revenue during the first month of the current Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26.
The revenue was collected after Birgunj Customs Office and Dry Port Customs Office were merged into a single office. Since mid-July, both offices have been operating jointly. According to the office, it achieved 87.68 percent of the monthly revenue target for Shrawan i.e. mid-July to mid-August.
The Department of Customs had set a target of Rs 20.9821 billion for the office in Shrawan. Last year, the office had collected Rs 15.92 billion in the same month, said Chief Customs Administrator Deepak Lamichhane of Birgunj Customs. The customs department has set an annual revenue target of Rs 273.3948 billion for the office.
