KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Nepal will play both of its matches against Vietnam in Vietnam for the 2027 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup qualifiers.
The AFC announced that the two-legged tie between Nepal and Vietnam will take place on October 9 and October 14, both on Vietnamese soil.
The matches were originally to follow a “home-and-away” format, but Nepal lost the chance to host its game after Dasharath Stadium was deemed unfit. The AFC has instructed the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to renovate the stadium.
