Value of US Dollar appreciates as NRB sets new exchange rate

KATHMANDU, April 18: Nepal Rastra Bank has determined the exchange rates for foreign currencies for today. The buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 136.30, while the selling rate is Rs 136.90, marking an appreciation from yesterday’s price. 

On Thursday, the buying rate for one US dollar was fixed at Rs 137.79, while the selling rate stood at Rs 137.39.

The buying rate for one Euro is Rs 154.93 and the selling rate is Rs 155.61. For the UK Pound Sterling, the buying rate is Rs 180.40 and the selling rate is Rs 181.19. The buying rate for one Swiss Franc is Rs 166.82 and the selling rate is Rs 167.55.

The buying rate for one Australian Dollar is Rs 86.72 and the selling rate is Rs 87.10. The Canadian Dollar has a buying rate of Rs 98.15 and a selling rate of Rs 98.58. For the Singapore Dollar, the buying rate is Rs 103.88 and the sale rate is Rs 104.33.

Similarly, the buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is Rs 9.56 and the selling rate is Rs 9.61. The buying rate for one Chinese Yuan is Rs 18.67 and the selling rate is Rs 18.75. The buying rate for one Saudi Arabian Riyal is Rs 36.32 and the selling rate is Rs 36.48. The buying rate for one Qatari Riyal is Rs 37.39 and the selling rate is Rs 37.56.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai Baht is Rs 4.09 and the selling rate is Rs 4.11. The UAE Dirham has a buying rate of Rs 37.11 and a sale rate of Rs 37.27. The Malaysian Ringgit has a purchase rate of Rs 30.92 and a selling rate of Rs 31.06.

Likewise, the buying rate for 100 South Korean Won is Rs 9.62 and the selling rate is Rs 9.66. The buying rate for one Swedish Krona is Rs 14.05 and the selling rate is Rs 14.11. The Danish Krone has a buying rate of Rs 20.75 and the selling rate is Rs 20.84.

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong Dollar at Rs 17.56 and the selling rate at Rs 17.63. The buying rate for one Kuwaiti Dinar is Rs 444.58 and the selling rate is Rs 446.54. The buying rate for one Bahraini Dinar is Rs 361.60 and the selling rate is Rs 363.19. The buying rate for one Omani Rial is Rs 354.03 and the selling rate is Rs 355.59. Additionally, the buying rate for 100 Indian Rupees is Rs 160.00 and the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

The central bank has indicated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. The exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ based on open market conditions and the updated exchange rates will be available on the central bank's website.
