KATHMANDU, Aug 2: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said the leaders who split the UML party are now deeply regretting their decision.

While welcoming the new entrants in UML at the party central office, Chyasal, on Friday, he said the turncoats are regretting the UML split.

"The leaders, who split the UML in the past, are now suffering from frustration and chagrin. Some leaders have even expressed that splitting the party was a sheer mistake, and some are saying that their newly formed party could no longer sustain itself," he argued.

Dr Lachhi Singh, the acting chairman of the Bagmati Province of CPN (Unified Socialist); Man Bahadur Syangtan, the chairman of Indrasarovar Rural Municipality in Makwanpur; Vice Chairman Gunraj Rumba, and Joint Secretary Umesh Basnet joined the UML.
