KATHMANDU, May 2: The Transport Management Office in Hetauda, Makwanpur, has collected over Rs 56.6 million in revenue during the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2024/25.
From new vehicle registrations, renewals, and the issuance of driver’s licenses, the Transport Management Office in Hetauda collected Rs 456.6 million and 85 thousand 590 in revenue from the month of Shrawan to Chaitra of the current fiscal year 2081/82, according to Office Chief Praveen Shrestha.
According to Shrestha, in the nine months of the current fiscal year, the office collected Rs 708.71 million 314 from the distribution of driver’s licenses, Rs 2.82 billion 37 thousand 299 from vehicle taxes, Rs 715.76 million 992 from transport-related income, Rs 314.91 million 953 under federal revenue, and Rs 8,250 from arrears.
The Transport Management Office in Hetauda collected Rs 456.68 million in revenue from new vehicle registrations, renewals, and the issuance of driver’s licenses between Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) and Chaitra (mid-March to mid-April) of the current fiscal year 2025/25, according to Office Chief Praveen Shrestha.
Shrestha stated that during the first nine months of the fiscal year, the office collected Rs 708.71 million from driver’s license distribution, Rs 2.82 billion from vehicle taxes, Rs 715.76 million from transport-related income, Rs 314.91 million under federal revenue, and Rs 8,250 from arrears.
Shrestha added that the office issued 5,359 driver’s licenses during this time, including 4,781 new licenses and 2,161 category additions.
During the same period of the current fiscal year, the Transport Management Office registered 4,351 new vehicles, Office Chief Praveen Shrestha said. The office recorded 2,234 motorcycles, 847 small vehicles, 626 tempos and rickshaws, 624 large and medium vehicles, and 11 tractors.
During this period, 4,781 new drivers' licenses were issued to 5,359 people, including 2,161 additional drivers' licenses.
Similarly, during the same period, the office renewed 4,781 licenses, issued 76 duplicates, and processed 63 cases involving both renewal and duplicate issuance. In the previous fiscal year 2023/24, the office collected Rs 560.71 million in revenue under various categories and registered 4,399 vehicles.
