KATHMANDU, April 20: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) started a protest in the Maitighar-New Baneshwor area, demanding the restoration of the monarchy and the release of leaders arrested on March 28.
As protesters declared their intention to enter the prohibited area, the Kathmandu Valley Police Office implemented a counter-security plan. Earlier, RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden had announced their plan to protest in the restricted area.
