KATHMANDU, April 12: Nepal has secured a place in the final of the four-nation (Quadrangular) T20 cricket series, maintaining an unbeaten run.

The final group-stage match against Hong Kong, scheduled for Friday, was called off due to rain, with Nepal advancing to the final as the group winner.

Hong Kong, batting first after winning the toss, had scored 68 runs for 3 wickets in 9 overs. However, rain interrupted the game, and it was eventually called off.

With the game being abandoned, both teams shared one point each. As a result, Nepal finished at the top of the group with 5 points from 3 matches.

Now, Nepal will face Kuwait in the final for the title on Sunday. Kuwait reached the final as the group runner-up. In the group stage, Nepal had defeated Kuwait by 6 wickets.

Hong Kong and Qatar will compete for third place.
