KATHMANDU, May 27: Opposition parties have prepared to obstruct Tuesday's House of Representatives meeting scheduled to begin at 11 AM.

They plan to protest after immigration officials were found collecting money and facilitating illegal departures on visit visas through an organized setup. Suspecting Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak's involvement, the opposition has decided to demand his resignation.

Opposition lawmakers are currently holding a meeting at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor to finalize their protest strategy.

They intend to block the government and ruling party leaders from speaking until Minister Lekhak steps down.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress office-bearers, during a meeting at party president Sher Bahadur Deuba's residence on Monday, concluded that Lekhak was not involved and decided he does not need to resign.
