BHARATPUR (CHITWAN), May 23: One person died in a road accident that occurred at Gyamire Chowk along the East-West Highway in Khairahani Municipality-2.
According to Rabindra Khanal, spokesperson of the District Police Office, the accident occurred when a bus heading to Kathmandu from Udayapur collided with an electric car traveling towards Chitwan. The car driver, 42-year-old Pradeep Timilsina of Khairahani Municipality-8, died in the incident.
Timilsina, who was critically injured in the crash, died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College. Police have taken the bus and its driver into custody.
