Nepal Army team departs for Myanmar with medical relief for quake victims

KATHMANDU, April 2: A Nepali Army team left for Myanmar on Wednesday to assist victims of the recent devastating earthquake, which caused significant loss of life and property. The team is carrying medical relief as per the decision of the Government of Nepal.

Led by Major Ramchandra Shrestha, the 22-member team—including 12 medical personnel, 4 logistics support staff, and 6 crew members—departed for Myanmar aboard a Nepal Army aircraft.

The team consists of surgeons, orthopedic specialists, general physicians, nurses, and paramedics, along with essential medicines and medical equipment. They will provide medical treatment to earthquake victims in Myanmar for approximately a week.
