KATHMANDU, April 10: Kathmandu Valley has experienced light rain as Meteorologist David Dhakal told Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that drizzle will continue through the afternoon and night.
As the rain continues, the haze affecting the Kathmandu Valley and much of the country is expected to gradually clear.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology predicts light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of the Koshi and Madhes provinces, as well as in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. The department also expects light rain and snowfall in some higher hilly and mountainous areas.
In the afternoon, the department forecasts partial to mostly cloudy skies in the mountainous areas of Bagmati Province, with light snowfall in some areas. In the hilly regions, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some places. In the Terai regions, partial to mostly cloudy skies are expected, with light to moderate rain, thunder, and lightning in one or two areas.
Tonight, the mountainous areas of the same provinces may remain partially to mostly cloudy, with light snowfall in some areas. The hilly regions are likely to experience partial to mostly cloudy skies, with light to moderate rain and thunder in some places. In the Terai regions, partial to mostly cloudy skies are expected, with light to moderate rain, thunder, and gusty winds in one or two areas.
