KATHMANDU, June 23: Iran has launched a missile attack targeting the US' Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Al Jazeera reported. The assault comes amid escalating hostilities in the Middle East, with loud explosions and bright flares reported over Doha, the Qatari capital.

The strike follows a day of intense cross-border attacks between Iran and Israel, triggered by U.S. airstrikes on three major Iranian nuclear facilities. In retaliation, Iran has fired multiple waves of missiles and drones into Israeli territory, while explosions have also rocked Iran’s capital, Tehran, after Israeli air raids targeted government and military sites.

Israeli warplanes have also struck multiple locations in southern Lebanon, including the villages of Zrariyeh, Kfar Milki, and Ansar, as the regional conflict continues to widen.

According to Iranian officials, more than 400 people — including 13 children — have been killed and at least 3,056 injured since Israel began its offensive on June 13. Iran's retaliatory strikes have reportedly left at least 24 people dead in Israel.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump hinted at potential regime change in Iran, stating, “If the current Iranian regime is unable to make Iran great again, why wouldn’t there be a regime change?”
