KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has increased the excise duty on alcohol and tobacco products.
While presenting the budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/25, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel announced the hike in excise duty on tobacco items.
“I have increased the excise duty on alcohol, beer, tobacco, and cigarettes,” said Minister Paudel.
