KATHMANDU, May 26: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is set at Rs 136.05 and the selling rate at Rs 136.65.
The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 154.62 and the selling rate at Rs 155.30. Similarly, the buying rate for one UK pound sterling is Rs 184.18, while the selling rate is Rs 184.99. The Swiss franc is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 165.64 and a selling rate of Rs 166.37.
One Australian dollar is valued at Rs 88.36 for buying and Rs 88.75 for selling, whereas one Canadian dollar is set at Rs 99.02 for buying and Rs 99.46 for selling. Likewise, the Singapore dollar's buying rate is Rs 105.93 and the selling rate is Rs 106.40.
For the Japanese yen, the rate is fixed at Rs 9.54 for buying and Rs 9.59 for selling per 10 yen. The Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 18.95 for buying and Rs 19.03 for selling. One Saudi riyal is priced at Rs 36.27 for buying and Rs 36.43 for selling, while one Qatari riyal is set at Rs 37.33 for buying and Rs 37.49 for selling.
According to the central bank, the buying and selling rates for other currencies are as follows: one Thai baht at Rs 4.19 and Rs 4.20 respectively; one UAE dirham at Rs 37.04 and Rs 37.20; one malaysian ringgit at Rs 32.16 and Rs 32.30; 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.96 and Rs 10.01; one Swedish krona at Rs 14.27 and Rs 14.34; and one Danish krone at Rs 20.73 and Rs 20.82.
Furthermore, the Hong Kong dollar is being traded at Rs 17.37 for buying and Rs 17.45 for selling. One Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 444.03 and Rs 445.99, while the Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 360.88 and Rs 362.47. The buying and selling rates for one Omani riyal are Rs 353.84 and Rs 355.40 respectively.
For the Indian currency, the exchange rate is fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling per 100 Indian rupees. NRB has stated that these rates are subject to change as needed. It also noted that commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the most updated figures are available on the central bank's official website.
