KATHMANDU, April 8: Police have arrested a foreign woman along with six kilograms of marijuana from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old woman from Thailand, identified as Kanokwan Pongsuwan, was arrested along with the cannabis in the customs area of the TIA. Upon inspection, the marijuana was found in her luggage, leading to her arrest.
Pongsuwan had arrived in Kathmandu on a Thai Airways flight. She has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau in Koteshwor for further investigation.
