Euro drops slightly, US Dollar stable

KATHMANDU, April 2: Nepal Rastra Bank has determined Wednesday's exchange rates for foreign currencies.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 136.46, while the selling rate stands at Rs 137.06. Similarly, the exchange rates for other major currencies have also been fixed. The buying rate for one euro is Rs 147.21, with the selling rate at Rs 147.85, while the buying rate for one euro was Rs 147.63, and the selling rate was Rs 148.28 on Tuesday.

One UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 176.10 and a selling rate of Rs 176.88. The Swiss franc has been set at Rs 154.59 for buying and Rs 155.27 for selling, while the Australian dollar stands at Rs 85.24 and Rs 85.61, respectively. Likewise, the buying and selling rates for one Canadian dollar are Rs 94.77 and Rs 95.18, while the Singapore dollar has been valued at Rs 101.57 for buying and Rs 102.01 for selling.

Among Asian currencies, the Japanese yen, in ten denominations, has been fixed at Rs 9.14 for buying and Rs 9.18 for selling. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 18.77 and Rs 18.85, while the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 36.38 for buying and Rs 36.54 for selling. Similarly, the Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 37.44 for buying and Rs 37.60 for selling.

In addition, the Thai baht has been set at Rs 4.00 for buying and Rs 4.01 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 37.15 for buying and Rs 37.32 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is fixed at Rs 30.75 for buying and Rs 30.89 for selling. The South Korean won, in denominations of 100, has been set at Rs 9.26 for buying and Rs 9.30 for selling. The Swedish krona is valued at Rs 13.61 for buying and Rs 13.67 for selling, whereas the Danish krone stands at Rs 19.73 and Rs 19.82, respectively.

Furthermore, Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rate for the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.54 for buying and Rs 17.62 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs 442.56 and Rs 444.51, while the Bahraini dinar has been set at Rs 361.99 for buying and Rs 363.58 for selling. The Omani rial stands at Rs 354.46 for buying and Rs 356.02 for selling. Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees is valued at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It has also mentioned that commercial banks may set slightly different exchange rates, and the latest updates can be accessed through the central bank's website.
