Essential license printing halted due to machine breakdown

KATHMANDU, May 11: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has announced that the printing of essential licenses has been halted.

According to a notice issued by the DoTM on Sunday, due to a problem with the DoTM's printing system since May 8 this service will remain suspended indefinitely.

The printing of essential driving licenses has been carried out for Nepali citizens going abroad for study and employment, Nepali Army personnel going on peacekeeping missions, police officers, and Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs).

This service has now been suspended until further notice, as mentioned in the statement.
