KATHMANDU, July 14: Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has demanded the dismissal of those involved in the bribery scandal.

At a program organized by the NC's Department of Intellectuals and Professionals on disaster management on Monday, Thapa said the Prime Minister should sack Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Raj Kumar Gupta for his alleged involvement in a bribery case and the leakage of his audiotape.

Thapa viewed that Minister Gupta should be sacked and a probe should be initiated to book those involved in the wrongdoing.

On the occasion, Thapa said that the judiciary should be restructured while amending the constitution.

Likewise, Thapa termed the disciplinary acts in the Nepali Congress as a new episode of Kot Parba and added that this would rather weaken the party.

He also said that more challenges were visible in times of disaster, as all three layers of government did not keep the public space empty.
