KATHMANDU, Sept. 9: The 105th Birth Anniversary of BP Koirala, the first elected Prime Minister of Nepal and the founder of Nepali Congress, is being celebrated on Sunday by organising various events.
On the occasion, various programs will be held with the participation of the NC, its various sister organizations and party leaders, cadres and supporters across the country, said the NC central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.
Born on 8 September 1914, Koirala led a democratic movement in establishing democracy in the country. He was the first democratically elected Prime Minister and a prolific writer as well. He died on July 21, 1982.
