Body of Nepali man killed in Kashmir terror attack brought home in Butwal

Final rites to be held at Triveni Ghat later today

KATHMANDU, April 24: The body of Sudip Neupane from Butwal-11, Kalikanagar, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India, has been brought back home.

Sudip had traveled to Kashmir for a visit along with his mother, sister, and brother-in-law, when he tragically lost his life in a terrorist attack on Tuesday.

His body was transported from Srinagar to New Delhi at 5 PM on Wednesday and from New Delhi to Lucknow at 9:30 PM by air. From Lucknow, the body was brought to Sunauli (Nepal-India border) and then to his home in Nepal via ambulance.

From Lucknow to Sunauli, a District Magistrate (DM) from a district in Uttar Pradesh, India, accompanied Sudip's body along with his relatives who had traveled with him.

Ram Chandra Kshetri, Ward Chairperson of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Ward-11, said that Sudip’s final rites will be performed at Triveni Ghat later today.
